About Jane Biven
I am a resin artist creating contemporary abstract paintings using my original technique. My complex process combines ink and acrylics with epoxy resin. Careful layering and manipulation produce vibrant, energetic paintings with a glass-like finish. Music is my sole inspiration. I always paint to music. I translate the audible to visual, its like I paint what I hear. Lyric and melody become color and form, As I construct a painting like composing a song. My paintings are symphonies of color!

Brilliant work Jane, love your style! L/F

I know what you mean. I don't know how many times I have done that with the lyrics from a song, but it is a lot. In fact it is next to impossible to understand the harsh vocals of death metal and the shrieking of black metal. My imagination has had a go on this painting. It reminds me of an aspect of photography that I have been exploring a lot this year--the reflections of trees and sunlight on still water.

For about 10 years, I thought the lyric was "They're gonna suffocate your mother in a cardboard box" !! I finally noticed the sheet music lyrics and still laugh out loud every time I hear it!!! Thanks Chris!!

"You better run all day and run all night. You better keep your dirty feelings locked deep inside. If they catch you in the backseat trying to pick her locks. They are gonna send you back to mother in a cardboard box. You'd better run."
